MR. SEGUN OLOKETUYI, B. Sc, MBA. FCA, Chairman, Board of Directors

Segun is a consummate banker with several years of banking and managerial experience. He is presently the Group Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank Plc. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a 1983 Second Class Upper Division graduate of Chemistry from University of Lagos. Oloketuyi, started out in 1985 as an Auditor with the firm of Akintola Williams & Co (Chartered Accountant).

Until his present appointment, he was an Executive Director at Skye Bank Plc with responsibilities for Business Development across Lagos and South West Directorates of the Bank. He has worked in several banks such as the defunct Chartered Bank in 1990 and rose to the position of Assistant General Manager. Joined Prudent Bank in January 2000 as Deputy General Manager in charge of Corporate and Commercial Markets. In recognition of his invaluable contributions, Oloketuyi in April 2004 became an executive Director at Prudent Bank Plc.

In October 2005, he was appointed the acting Managing Director of Bond Bank. Oloketuyi was in January 2006 appointed Executive Director (Finance and Enterprise Risk Management) of Skye Bank Plc.

Oloketuyi has attended various Professional and Leadership training programmes in the course of his Banking career. He is an MBA Alumnus of the Lagos Business School and the Advanced Management Programme of INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.


MR. ADEMOLA ADEBISE B.sc. MBA, FCA, Director

Before joining Wema Bank, he was the Head of the Finance & Performance Management practice of Accenture, Nigeria and the programme Manager on a Transformation Project for one of the old generation Banks in Nigeria.

Prior to joining to joining Accenture in November 2005, he was the General Manager overseeing Corporate Banking and Treasury at National Bank of Nigeria Limited. He also worked in various functions at Chartered Bank and rose to the position of Assistant General Manager in 2000.

He was born in 1966 and attended the Lagos Baptist Academy, University of Lagos where he obtained a Bachelors degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Computer Science in 1987. He also has an MBA from prestigious Pan African University - Lagos Business School. He is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and Computer Professionals. (Registration Council of Nigeria).

Adebise has also attended several training courses, seminars, and workshops, both within and outside Nigeria.


ALHAJI NURUDEEN ADEYEMO FAGBENRO, B.sc, FCA, Director

Alhaji Fagbenro, the Executive Director - Risk Management & Control in Wema Bank, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting (1985) from University of Lagos. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (FCA).

He started his banking career in 1986 in Wema Bank Plc as an Accounting Supervisor and has been in the bank till this day. He has occupied various positions in the bank such as: Head of International Operations sub-units between 1989 and 1991, Head of Foreign Trade between 1991 and 1995, Head of International Banking Division between 1996 and 2001, Chief Inspector from 2001 - 2002, Head of International Operations between 2002 and 2004, Head of Commercial and Telecommunication Group for 5 months in 2004, Head of Institutional Banking between 2004 and 2006, Executive Director, Institutional Banking from 2006 to 2007, and Executive Director, Risk Management & Control from 2007 to date.

Alhaji Fagbenro has attended various Executive Management Courses locally and overseas.


MR. ISRAEL KAYODE OSADARE (JP), B.sc, Director

He attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where he bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology in 1977.

Mr. Osadare started his working career as a teacher during and after his National Youth Service between 1977 and 1978. He taught in various schools around Ekiti State between 1978 and 1997. He became a school principal in 1988 and was retired in 1996 after a successful teaching career.

He joined active politics after his retirement and subsequently became the chairman of Ekiti East Local Government, Omuo – Ekiti from 1997 to 1998. He was Commissioner and later Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Government between 2003 and 2007.

He was a member of Federal Board between 2000 and 2003 and member of Ekiti East Local Government Security Council.


MRS CECILIA OLAPEJU OSIPITAN B.Sc, ACII, MPA, LLB - Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

Osipitan is a seasoned underwriter, Marketer and an administrator with proven management capacities, vast academic background and profoundexperience. She is also a renowned and respected Insurance professional with over 20 years of cognate experience in Insurance.

Osipitan graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Sciences and Physiotherapy with a Second Class Upper Division. She also holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from University of Lagos. She also has a Bachelor of Law Degree from the same University.

Osipitan is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and Nigeria; she is also a member of Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA), a member of the governing council of CIIN and Risk & Insurance Management Society of Nigeria (RIMSON), and an alumnus of Thames Valley University, London (School of Management Studies) and Lagos Business School (CEP 16)

Osipitan started her career in Insurance with Royal Exchange Assurance of Nigeria (REAN) and rose to the position of an Executive Director on the Board of REAN, She also held various positions such as Head (personal line Department), Head (Commercial Property Department), Assistant General Manager (Underwriting, Claims, & Risk Management), Deputy General Manager (Operations) until her appointment as Managing Director/CEO of UNIC in January 2006. She was later appointed the Managing Director/CEO of Insurance PHB. She joined Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in December 2009 as the Managing Director/ CEO.

She has also attended several technical and Management courses both within and outside Nigeria.


MR ROTIMI OLUKOREDE B. Sc Hons. MPA, ACII - Executive Director

Rotimi attended University of Lagos where he bagged Bachelor of Science Degree in Insurance in 1987. He also has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Ondo State University, and an alumnus of the prestigious Pan African University. He is an associate member of the London and Nigeria Chartered Insurance Institute, an associate of the Pensions Funds Managers of Nigeria and a member of Nigeria Institute of Management.

He is a versatile underwriter and marketer, with over 20 years insurance experience. He is a management strategist with strong bias for Leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

He started his insurance career as a Youth Corp member with Trans Nigeria Insurance Co Ltd and has worked in many insurance companies including Sentinel Ins. Co, Kapital Ins. Co., Regency Insurance Co, Prime Trust Ins., & Whispering Hope Ins. Co now Sterling Assurance Limited. In 2000, he joined Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited as Controller/Head Marketing and left in 2005 on a rescue mission to First Assurance Plc as the Managing Director/CEO. He returned to Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited now Equity Assurance Plc in February 2009 as Deputy Managing Director, the position he occupied before he joined GNI PLC in December 2009 as an Executive Director (Non Life).

He has attended various courses and training within and outside Nigeria including an associate course in Risk Management at Kaplan University, USA.

A sociable and widely travelled team leader, he is a pastor of the Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), a member of many sociable clubs and voluntary organizations. He loves reading, swimming and football.


MRS. ROSELYNE ULAETO, HND, ACII, ADIIM – Executive Director

Ulaeto is an astute insurance professional with over 17 years experience in the Insurance industry.

She is a graduate of insurance from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. She is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institutes of London and Nigeria. She also holds an Advance Diploma in Insurance and Investment Management (ADIIM) from the University of Lagos.

Ulaeto began her insurance career with one of Nigeria’s foremost Life Assurance & Pensions Specialist Offices, African Alliance Insurance Co Ltd and rose to the position of Deputy General Manager, Technical. Before then, she was Head of Technical Operations, Group Business Department overseeing the company’s pension schemes, and Head Technical, Individual Life Businesses overseeing the management of individual life portfolio. She was also involved in the design and marketing of the company’s special products.

She left African Alliance for ADIC insurance company Limited in March 2008 as the Head of Life Underwriting and Technical Operations, theposition she was before joining Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in February 2010 as Executive Director, Life.

She has also attended several technical and Management courses both within and outside Nigeria.
