MRS CECILIA OLAPEJU OSIPITAN B.Sc, ACII, MPA, LLB - Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

Osipitan is a seasoned underwriter, Marketer and an administrator with proven management capacities, vast academic background and profoundexperience. She is also a renowned and respected Insurance professional with over 20 years of cognate experience in Insurance.

Osipitan graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Sciences and Physiotherapy with a Second Class Upper Division. She also holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from University of Lagos. She also has a Bachelor of Law Degree from the same University.

Osipitan is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and Nigeria; she is also a member of Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA), a member of the governing council of CIIN and Risk & Insurance Management Society of Nigeria (RIMSON), and an alumnus of Thames Valley University, London (School of Management Studies) and Lagos Business School (CEP 16)

Osipitan started her career in Insurance with Royal Exchange Assurance of Nigeria (REAN) and rose to the position of an Executive Director on the Board of REAN, She also held various positions such as Head (personal line Department), Head (Commercial Property Department), Assistant General Manager (Underwriting, Claims, & Risk Management), Deputy General Manager (Operations) until her appointment as Managing Director/CEO of UNIC in January 2006. She was later appointed the Managing Director/CEO of Insurance PHB. She joined Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in December 2009 as the Managing Director/ CEO.

She has also attended several technical and Management courses both within and outside Nigeria.


MR ROTIMI OLUKOREDE B. Sc Hons. MPA, ACII - Executive Director

Rotimi attended University of Lagos where he bagged Bachelor of Science Degree in Insurance in 1987. He also has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Ondo State University, and an alumnus of the prestigious Pan African University. He is an associate member of the London and Nigeria Chartered Insurance Institute, an associate of the Pensions Funds Managers of Nigeria and a member of Nigeria Institute of Management.

He is a versatile underwriter and marketer, with over 20 years insurance experience. He is a management strategist with strong bias for Leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

He started his insurance career as a Youth Corp member with Trans Nigeria Insurance Co Ltd and has worked in many insurance companies including Sentinel Ins. Co, Kapital Ins. Co., Regency Insurance Co, Prime Trust Ins., & Whispering Hope Ins. Co now Sterling Assurance Limited.

In 2000, he joined Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited as Controller/Head Marketing and left in 2005 on a rescue mission to First Assurance Plc as the Managing Director/CEO. He returned to Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited now Equity Assurance Plc in February 2009 as Deputy Managing Director, the position he occupied before he joined GNI PLC in December 2009 as an Executive Director (Non Life).

He has attended various courses and training within and outside Nigeria including an associate course in Risk Management at Kaplan University, USA.

A sociable and widely travelled team leader, he is a pastor of the Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), a member of many sociable clubs and voluntary organizations. He loves reading, swimming and football.


MRS. ROSELYNE ULAETO, HND, ACII, ADIIM – Executive Director

Ulaeto is an astute insurance professional with over 17 years experience in the Insurance industry.

She is a graduate of insurance from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. She is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institutes of London and Nigeria. She also holds an Advance Diploma in Insurance and Investment Management (ADIIM) from the University of Lagos.

Ulaeto began her insurance career with one of Nigeria’s foremost Life Assurance & Pensions Specialist Offices, African Alliance Insurance Co Ltd and rose to the position of Deputy General Manager, Technical. Before then, she was Head of Technical Operations, Group Business Department overseeing the company’s pension schemes, and Head Technical, Individual Life Businesses overseeing the management of individual life portfolio. She was also involved in the design and marketing of the company’s special products.

She left African Alliance for ADIC insurance company Limited in March 2008 as the Head of Life Underwriting and Technical Operations, theposition she was before joining Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in February 2010 as Executive Director, Life.

She has also attended several technical and Management courses both within and outside Nigeria.


OLUSOJI A. ORIOWO HND Accountancy, ACA, FICMA - Chief Financial Officer

Soji is a graduate of the School of Management & Business Studies, of Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu. An Associate member of Institute Chartered of Accountants of Nigeria and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Cost Management of Nigeria, Soji’s leadership qualities are already proven in the historical turnaround of Finance, Investments & ICT of several companies.

He is a result-oriented personality with over ten years post educational experience in Accountancy, Audits & General Consultancy. He has four years practical experience in Information Technology and over twenty years hands-on experience in Academics, at all levels His professional experience commenced with the prestigious firm of Arthur Andersen Nigeria, now known as KPMG Professional Services, He has had experiences with Linkserve Limited, Honeywell Group, Unic Insurance Plc, UBA Insurance, STACO Insurance and lately Standard Alliance Group.

His core experience spans Finance, Investments and Information Technology. He has attended training courses within and outside Nigeria.


RICHARD TAIWO OGUNNIRANYE B.Sc., MBA, AIIN Deputy General Manager(Technical)

Taiwo graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography. He also holds a Master Degree in Business Administration with bias in marketing of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and he is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School’s EDS’ Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management Program.

Taiwo started his career in insurance with Leadway Assurance Company Limited in 1991, and has over 18 years experience in insurance underwriting, claims, risk management, broking, marketing & insurance consultancy. He worked briefly with Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited (now Equity Assurance Plc) between 1993 and 1994 before joining Scib Nigeria & Company Limited – an insurance brokerage firm in 1994.

He joined Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in May 2009. Taiwo has attended training courses both within and outside Nigeria.


AUGUSTINE INEGBENEHI, B. Sc, MBA, MSC, ACA - Asst. General Manager, Audit

Augustine is an insurance graduate of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu. He holds a Master degree (MBA) in Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi and another Master Degree (MSC) in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA).

He has over 8 years experience in Accountancy, Auditing, Training, Research, Investigations, Business & Management Advisory and Consultancy with deep understanding of the technical, financial and commercial aspects of management processes.


TOYIN FRANCIS ALONGE, B. Sc, MBA, ACII - Asst. General Manager, Marketing

Toyin holds a B.sc Insurance degree from the University of Lagos, Akoka, and a Masters’ Degree from the Lagos State University. He is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

He started his career in insurance with Perpetual Assurance Company Limited and has worked in other insurance companies such as Trust & Guarantee Insurance Company Limited, Intercontinental Wapic Insurance Plc, and Insurance PHB Limited. He also worked in City Express Bank Plc and Intercontinental Bank Plc.

He was until recently a Controller with Insurance PHB Limited. He joined Great Nigeria Plc in January 2010 as Assistant. General Manager, Marketing.

He has attended both local and international courses which conveniently broadens his view.


TUNDE LAWANSON BA, MPIA, Arpa, - Controller, Corporate Services

Tunde is a graduate of History from the University of Calabar. He also holds a Masters in Public and International Affairs [MPIA] from the University of Lagos, Akoka. He is an associate member of both the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria.

His working career started with the Punch Newspaper, he later joined Cornerstone Insurance Plc as Head, Brand Management, from where he moved to Metropolitan Bank [Now UBA] as Head, Branding and External Relations, he later rose to become the bank’s Head, Corporate Services. Unic Insurance Plc was the next port of call as the company’s AGM, Admin and Corporate Affairs.

Before joining Great Nigeria Insurance Plc, he was Group Head, Business Development and Accounts Management, Touchstone Limited. Tunde is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School [LBS]. He has attended a number of top rated management training programmes. He was also a former member of the Committee on Road monitoring set up by the Lagos State Government.


JOHN SAFA HND, MBA, ACII, AIIN - Senior Manager, Technical

John is a 1987 graduate of Insurance from Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo. He holds an MBA from Edo State University, Ekpoma. His insurance career started in 1989 when he joined Femi Johnson & Co. [a foremost Insurance Brokerage firm].

A respected insurance professional who has amassed diverse wealth of experience and knowledge while with different organizations in the insurance industry such as Carrier Insurance Brokers Limited, Standard Trust Assurance Plc, Baico Insurance Plc and UTIB Insurance Brokers Limited.

He is also an Associate member of both the Chartered Insurance Institute of London [ACII] and the Chartered Institute of Nigeria [AIIN].


SAMUEL AGOH, B. Sc, ACII - Senior Manager, Technical (Life Operations)

Samuel holds a B.Sc degree in Business Administration from Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

He is a consummate Life Assurance Specialist with wealth of experience spanning over 15 years. He started his Insurance career in African Alliance Insurance Company Ltd in 1994 where he honed his skills in all aspect of Life Assurance Underwriting, Pension and Fund Management, Claims Administration and Relationship Management.

He left African Alliance Insurance Company Ltd in March 2006 to join Capital Express Insurance Company as Head of Group Life and left in January 2008 to join Great Nigeria Insurance Plc as Head of Technical, Life Operations.


FEMI ADEDIRAN, B. Sc, ANIM, HND - Senior Manager, (Life Agency Operations)

Femi, a graduate of Business Administration from University of Lagos, is a skilled and experienced hand in Agency Operations/Administration.

He is an Associate of Chartered Nigeria Institute of Management and also holds a Higher National Diploma from the Polytechnic of Ibadan.

His working experience spanned over 18 years in Agency Operations/Administration. He had a long working career with AIICO Insurance Plc where he acquired in depth knowledge of Agency set up and Management of resources to get quality results.

Not long before joining Great Nigeria Insurance Plc, he had also worked briefly with African Alliance Insurance Company Ltd as Senior Manager Marketing from where he proceeded to Capital Express Insurance Company Limited as Head, Agency Administration.


MRS. BOSE IBESANMI, HND, MBA, MNIM. - Senior Manager, (Marketing)

Bose graduated from Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta with HND in Marketing, and holds an MBA from Ambrose Alli University. Her distinguished role in Marketing while serving as the Head of Marketing of Wrought Iron Nigeria Limited for several years made it easy for her to be seconded to Great Nigeria Insurance Plc.

Bose is a full member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria. Her wealth of experience in marketing has since been put at GNI’s disposal in her present capacity as the Head of Direct Marketing/Bancassurance.


ABIOLA MOSURO [MRS.] LL.B, B.L, LLM - Senior Manager/Company Secretary

Abiola is a member of the respected legal profession. She graduated from the Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos. She started her career from Wema Securities and Finance Plc where she rose through the ranks from legal officer to being the Acting Company Secretary/Legal Officer. Her last responsibility before moving over to Wema Bank’s Legal department was as Acting Head, Legal, Loan Workout and Admin.

She holds an LLM from the University of Lagos. Abiola presently oversees the company’s secretariat and legal department. She has attended several courses.


ADEBAYO OLUSHOLA, B. Tech. -Head, Information Systems Department

Shola holds sway as Head of Information Systems Department of Great Nigeria Insurance Plc. He holds Bachelor in Technology degree in Computer Science from Federal University of Technology, Akure - Ondo State. His experience transverse Customers Service, Life marketing before being moved to the company’s ISD. Olushola has also attended many courses.
